Vaels International School recently brought a splash of color and culture to its campus with a fantastic event themed "Carnival Celebrations." Our Nursery & primary school kids transformed each classroom into a vibrant representation of festivals from around the globe, offering everyone a chance to experience diverse traditions.
One of the highlights was Japan’s Hina Matsuri. The school's steps were beautifully decorated with puppets of the emperor and empress, giving guests a taste of this century-old celebration. Visitors also enjoyed delightful displays inspired by the Chinese New Year, complete with miniature red dragons and exciting boat races that captured the festival's lively spirit.
Vaels International School- Nursery and Primary hosted a vibrant and exciting Carnival - “Celebrations” around the world on September 28th, bringing together students, teachers, and parents for a day of fun and experiential learning. The colorful decorations, joyful music, and a variety of activities showcased the creativity and enthusiasm of the entire school community. The carnival featured several stalls offering delicious food, games, and crafts, all designed to engage students of different ages.
From mehandi, tattoos, 3D shows, and 360-degree dome shows to exciting game booths, every corner of the school was alive with energy. Students enjoyed participating in activities like horse rides, boat rides,balloon blasts, ring toss, and even fun-filled games.
But that’s not all! The event also celebrated Christmas, Ramadan, and significant Indian festivals like Independence Day, Pongal, Haldi, and Mehndi. We even showcased traditional wedding rituals, highlighting the rich tapestry of both local and global cultures.
We were honoured to have Mr. Ishari K. Ganesh, Chairman of the Vels Group, and Mrs. Arthi Ganesh, Pro-Chancellor of VISTAS & Managing Trustee of the Vels Group of Schools, attend the event. They praised our students for their hard work in bringing these festivals to life.
Parents were overwhelmed with a joy to see their children showcase such a wonderful variety of cultural traditions, making this event a truly memorable experience for everyone involved. It was a fantastic reminder of the beauty and diversity of the world we live in!
